AN ENDLESS SEARCH 1

AN ENDLESS SEARCH 1
A seventy five years old man walked gently down the road. As he walked he was deeply engrossed in thoughts within him. What was wrong with him? What exactly was he thinking about?

AN ENDLESS SEARCH 2
Was it housing? No for he has seven houses spread across his state of residence. Was it cars or perhaps was he lacking in finances? Not at all for he not only had a good fleet of cars in his garage but he also owned several businesses that was yielding large amount of money to him on monthly bases. If this be so what then is it that troubled him so much that it was very apparent to all who saw him that he was looking very morose?

AN ENDLESS SEARCH 3
For some time now Pa Ogiugo Omoregbe for that was what the name of the seventy five old man was had been having this feeling of emptiness within him. He felt a longing within him to connect with his creator.. In his youthful days he had no time for religious things. All he ever wanted was to have money and through honest and dishonest means he was able to make wealth.
Almost anything he wanted he bought but to satisfy this longing of his soul, he knew money cannot buy it.

AN ENDLESS SEARCH 4
Pa Omoregbe decided to seek for solution from the church. Thus one Sunday morning he waked down the road to a nearby church just five minutes walking distance from his residence looking as we have already seen very morose
The atmosphere in the church was electrifying as he stepped inside. Soon the Pastor mounted the podium. He was very charismatic as he using much theatrics taught on the principles of acquisition of financial wealth.

v

AN ENDLESS SEARCH 5
The pastor spole extensively on how he having just returned from the airport he had been shown the hanger belonging to a fellow clergy which is reputed to be the best in the country.
He told his faithful that in a few years he would not only have acquired five aircraft but his hanger will be built in such a manner that it would outshine that of every other person in the country much to the delight of his hearers. Although he had no visible form of business the congregants never reasoned how he hope to achieve this but they kept on shouting Amen, Hallelujah to his so called prophetic declarations.

AN ENDLESS SEARCH 6
Pa Omoregbe was not impressed with the sermon. What would a seventy five old man need a private jet for? This was not what he was looking for however he returned back to the church the next Sunday thinking that message was just for that day alone but alas much to his consternation the charismatic man of God continued from where he stopped the previous Sunday.
After a while he felt that all that one needed to enter heaven was to have financial wealth.

AN ENDLESS SEARCH 7
And it came to pass that at the end of three years; Pa Omoregne slept and woke up the next morning feeling pain in his chest. He rose up from the bed and tried walking into the rest room but he fell down. He screamed for help as he tried to rise again but before his people could come to his rescue he fell again to rise no more still feeling the emptiness in him.

AN ENDLESS SEARCH CONCLUSION
For three years Pa Omoregbee attended this church hoping to hear messages that will bring salvation to him. In all of this time not even for once did his pastor teach on the basic rudiments of salvation how much more the advanced principles of entering heaven? Now he has passed on to a Christ less grave not for lack of trying but because his pastor and many others like him for reasons best known to them choose to preach on only messages of financial wealth. Will Pa Omoregbe find rest in the great beyond or will he continue this endless search.

THE END OF THE EARTH

THE END OF THE EARTH
Taken up in the spirit in the midnight hour from his study where he resides at Lagos he was brought down in a street that borders a cemetery in Benin city. This burial ground is located along the second east circular rd. It is bordered in each of its four sides by a street each.
From where he stood he peered forwards as if trying to espy someone coming from the other end of the street. Then he noticed a movement along the walls of the cemetery.

THE END OF THE EARTH 2
Moving slowly along the wall of the burial ground were signboards. Each of them contained the name of a church. Some of these signposts where very tall, some were short while others were in between.
They all seemed to have their feet on a convoy belt which transported them steadily but slowly as you would see bottles being transported in a brewery.

THE END OF THE EARTH 3
Soon these signboards gradually metamorphosed into human beings. Still moving slowly some of the people smiled and waved their hands cheerfully as they continued this movement in a single file. Others did not smile, neither did they cheer, they just moved along as though they were statures well sculptured by a good craftsman. Nevertheless, these people were by far in number when compared with the former.
Slowly this group of people transformed into another set with exactly the same characteristics of the first set except that the number of the cheerful ones in this were by far smaller than those who did same in the first set.

THE END OF THE EARTH 4
A third set soon came to the fore. The people in this set were all dressed in suits. They all looked very dignified but be that as it may, none of them smiled neither did any amongst them cheered rather they all wore a frown on their faces as they were being transported by this same convour belt.
Wondering what this thing was all about, he was taken up again in the spirit and put into a very large classroom in a primary school in this same second east circular road. The signpost of this school read: EYANUGIE PRIMARY SCHOOL. The atmospheric setting had changed from twilight to a very bright afternoon.

THE END OF THE EARTH 5
Looking through the classroom door, he saw one approach. This being was glorious and HIS form was like that of the son of God. As he considered HIS face diligently HE CAN SEE CLEARLY THAT THERE WAS SADNESS IN THE FACE OF this LORD. Then the LORD opened HIS mouth and spoke after the tenor of these words:
“The end of all flesh have come before me, yea it is at hand. The people you saw at the cemetery represents three categories of my children. The first set are they laity, the ordinary people in the church but how many of them will be saved? Very few as you observed those who smiled.

THE END OF THE EARTH 6
The second set are the workers in the ministry yet only a handful are ready for salvation. The third set are the shepherds of my people but these shall not enter the kingdom except they turn aside from the things they do.” HE paused and continued again thus”
The thing that disqualifies one from entering Heaven is sin. There are some sins that are obvious and have a name such as lies, cheating, fornication and adultery. Any one who commits such sins without repenting from them will not enter the kingdom. There are some other sins that are very sublime in nature, my FATHER knows how to take care of such sins”.

THE END OF THE EARTH 7
From where HE stood talking HE pointed HIS ffff finger towards the board and wrote a writing on the board and bade the servant to read it while HE bent down and wrote on the floor but when the servant could not read it, HE lifted HIS head and said, “Your cannot read it because of your sight problem?”
The answer was: YES. Then HE smiled and haven touched him a little HE disappeared from sight. Then was the servant taken back to his study in Lagos.

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN? [PART 2]

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN? [PART 2]

In the early days of Christianity Sisters in Christ do not perm their hair. They do normal African traditional styles like thread plaiting and weaving. They always cover their hair with head ties, scarfs, handkerchiefs or even with pages of book whenever they appear in gospel functions like prayer meetings, picnics etc. Not quite long a problem developed. What is it all about?
hair with head ties, scarfs, handkerchiefs or even with pages of book whenever they appear in gospel functions like prayer meetings, picnics etc. Not quite long a problem developed. What is it all about?

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN? [PART 2] 2

In many Bible study sessions the question “Is it compulsory that ladies should cover their hair?” arose. The general concession was that “THE HAIR IS GIVEN TO THE LADIES FOR THEIR COVERING” hence there was no point using additional stuff to cover their hair.
So many ladies gradually stopped covering their hair to church. Now the need to put some shine on the hair arose since normal thread plaiting and weaving was not glamorous enough.

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN? [PART 2] 3

The most ready answer was to follow the trend set by their unbelieving counterparts which was becoming fast popular. It is a common believe among many blacks that everything the Whiteman have is of superior quality and as such preferable to that owned by the blacks. Hence the ladies began to perm their hairs and fix weavon, braids, and other forms of attachments with many going as far as bleaching their skin so as to look like the white ladies.

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN? [PART 2] 4

At this point in time another phenomenon was fast gaining ascendency. The clothing called leggis was in vogue. This is what gave rise to all most all female trousers. The first set of ladies that put it on would adorn it with a mini skirt a very micro one so as not to appear too indecent to the very old women who sitting on the veranders of their houses would not hesitate to give a very serious tongue lashing to the young ladies for what they see and consider a provocative dressence.

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN? [PART 2] 5

After much debating in many Bible Study sessions, it was agreed that since it was more proper to put on trousers type of clothing in events like sporting sessions and youth service orientation camping, ladies can put trousers on but should not wear same to church events. But in a little while this form of dressing started appearing inside the church with many female Pastors spear heading the trend. What shall we then say to these things? Are we in the right or are we in the wrong?

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN? [PART 2] 6

In this same era many people who haven being seriously involved in spiritism but now have undergone deliverance procedures began to come out with spiritual revelations claiming that female trousers, perming, weavons, attachments even earrings and other trinkets were all designed and manufactured in the spirit marine world with the covenant that all they who make use of these things will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
They claim that the usage of these things aforementioned defiles our bodies and the Bible says “Our body is the temple of GOD and anyone who defiles the temple of GOD him would the LORD also destroy.

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN? [PART 2] 7

All these things began more than twenty years ago and have reached crescendo only recently. Had Christians taken a very firm stand against it then perhaps we would not be in this quaqmire today. The tree which was planted many years ago which would have been uprooted in its infancy was left to grow.
Today that tree has grown very big with its leaves and branches spreading out to the far corners of the earth while its roots are firmly secured under almost every house on earth. Uprooting it now will definatly destroy many houses. And so, just like this tree, Christiandom is in a great debacle and we wait patiently for our leaders to chat the way forward for us.

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN?

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN?

This question is a very important one but to answer it, it would be necessary to add the following questions viz;; IS the usage of attachments, weavons and the putting on of trousers in whatsoever form and design by the women a sin that can jeopardize one from entering heaven?

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN? 2

These questions did not just begin today. They are more than twenty years old. Whosesoever they are asked, they never cease to spark off arguments and debate so fierce that one does not know which side of the divide to belong for indeed of a truth these things have thrown Christendom into two factions which things ought not to be so since we all claim the worshipping of one GOD.

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN? 3

Two thousand years ago the Apostle Paul had similar experience and when the controversy became so much, he took the matter to the elders of the church whom after fasting and praying,, delivered their verdict and the law became binding on all Christians of that age and time.
Likewise it is the responsibility of the Executive council of the Christian association of Nigeria to deliver verdict on this issue and their law will be binding on all Christians. Let us take a simple analysis.

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN? 4

Assume we all translate and find ourselves in heaven’s gate and Christian association of Nigeria [CAN] have outlawed the usage of these things by Nigerian Christian ladies but we find out that ladies from other nations who made use of these things were allowed to enter heaven, then it is clear that CAN have made a serious error.
Now what do our ladies stand to loss since they too were allowed entrance? On the other hand, should CAN continue to sit on the fence and this very scenario is plagued in our very before and these are the very indices used, what again do our ladies stand to lose?

IS PERMING OF THE HAIR A SIN? 5

While we wait for CAN to decide, we ourselves should make effort to investigate the origin of these things for in truth they did not just begin now. They are more than twenty years old. Judging from observation of Church attendance, it is not difficult to see that females form close to seventy percent of church membership, while about ninety percent of Christian ladies make use of these things. I also will present my own investigation shortly.
