THE LAST POPE AND THE
HANDWRITING ON THE WALL 4
Being over confident that the walls
of Babylon cannot be breached the king Belshazzar went ahead to commit folly.
Instead of him to pass the time rallying his troops and motivating them he
chose to organize a great feast for his nobles. While these noble men drank and
made merry, the heart of the rest of the poor and ordinary citizens in his
kingdom failed them for fear.
As they drank and ate, a commandment was issued from the
throne of the MOST HIGHEST GOD and a hand was seen writing the judgment. No matter how favorable the situation is once the LORD GOD
issues a commandment, no force on earth can stop it from accomplishing its
task. That very night
Babylon was taken and the king Belshazzar was killed. The empire of the
Persians became the world power according to Daniel’s interpretation of king Nebuchadnezzar’s
dream.
THE LAST POPE AND THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL 5
Just as king Belshazzar and his nobles lived carelessly while
their kingdom was about to crumble so also many of us are living dangerously.
Many of us act and pursue interests as if our lives begins and ends here on
earth.
It is understandable that we are limited in sight and scope
of knowledge but we must also understand that we are children of our collective
FATHER IN HEAVEN who knows and sees everything. To avoid a situation where we
head straight into a precipe HE has sent warnings to us severally but how have
we paid heed to HIS MAJESTY’S warnings?
THE LAST POPE AND THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL 6
HE not satisfied with our response so far has decided to send
us a last warning by this handwriting on the wall symbolized by the prophecy of
the book found in the Vatican as it was revealed to the saint Malachi but how
have we used this to further our knowledge about our future homes in that
sphere of existence called eternity?
It is time for us as a people to make a change by amending
our ways. Let every man who is composed of a soul and a spirit enclosed in a
body to give heed to these warnings. Now is our salvation nearer than when we
first believed. Henceforth every man must take responsibility for the salvation
of his soul. We must return back to the LORD and diligently search the
scriptures to provide light for us in this dark world filled with evil men
parading themselves about as holy men.
