INTERMISSION

BOUGHT WITH A PRICE

I am not a free man, I am just a slave

A prisoner of conscience, as some may say

I can only do things in the right way

Either the things are in my favor or nay.

Sometimes I feel like pleasing myself

Doing those things I only wish to do

I say to the LORD: I go my own way

I am not going to do things that please you.

 

But the Bible says I am no longer my own

I have been bought with a price of great value

Because Jesus gave His life for me

So I should only do that thing which pleases Him.

Whenever I find myself going astray,

I wipe myself back to line

Because the LORD may call me,

And I won’t be ready to die.
