666 is not the physical mark of the beast. Prophetic sayings in the Bible are basically like metaphors. One single entity like a boa or any of the big wild cats does not constitute a beast in Biblical sense. The beast is a well structured political organization which provides leadership for a kingdom or empire.

When a Biblical Prophet relays a vision thus: I saw a beast rise up out from the sea, fierce and of a dreadful countenance. Unto him was given domino to devour much flesh. What he his saying is;

I saw a kingdom or empire arise from the sea of human beings. Haven received divine authority, she fought wars with and conquered many nations killing a lot of people in the process.The only world kindom having divine authorization to rule on earth after the rapture is that headed by the Anti Christ. The emblem of this kingdom is:

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell , save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY created the universe in six days and rested on the seventh day. Seven is HIS number; the number of perfection. Man was created on the sixth day. Six is MAN’S number. The Anti Christ is a man though highly influenced by demons. Six is also his number.

Satan is a spirit but he does not delight in the things that pertain to GOD but savors only those things that pertain to man. He has reduced himself to that number six. When we place man, the Anti Christ and the devil side by side they produce the number 666.
